India’s central bank governor, Raghuram Rajan, clearly likes to keep his audience guessing. Slowing economic growth against a backdrop of persistent inflation is vexing analysts about where interest rates are headed. The Reserve Bank of India governor, however, seems in no mood to make matters any clearer, judging by the above quote made during a speech at Harvard Business School, according to a Reuters report.
Looks like we’ll only find out on October 29, when the RBI announces a review of monetary policy. Stay tuned!
